Sunday's wrap . . .

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The WHL should be embarrassed by the lack of attention it pays to its exhibition games. It obviously has no idea just how hungry its fans are for information, or maybe it just doesn‘t care. It’s Sunday night and there isn’t a word on the WHL website regarding the outcome of weekend games. But, gee, wasn’t it nice of the WHL to supply a phone number we can call to get scores! . . . Apologies for there being some missing pertinent statistical information but there aren’t enough hours in the day to track down everything. . . .

SUNDAY’S GAMES

Hood got carried off on a stretcher but apparently was up and walking around after the game.

Jeff Bosch and Damien Ketlo combined to stop 23 shots in Regina’s net. . . . Regina D Spencer Fraipoint suffered a broken hand during the game and could be out up to six weeks.

Vancouver was 2-for-11 on the PP; the Americans were 0-for-8. The game was late starting so ended in a draw, with no time for overtime or a shootout.

Burke Gallimore also scored for Spokane, which outscored its opponents 13-4 in Everett. Greg Scott had Seattle’s goal. Two 17-year-olds -- Darcy Kuemper and James Reid -- shared Spokane’s goaltender. Kuemper stopped five of six shots; Reid stopped six shots. Riku Helenius started for Seattle and stopped eight of nine shots. Calvin Pickard relieved him and made 17 saves on 19 shots. Spokane was 1-for-7 on the power play; Seattle was 0-for-5.

Chilliwack 3, Everett 1 -- The Bruins, playing without their top two forwards (Oscar Moller and Mark Santorelli), got goals from Michael Proudley, Brayden Metz and Jadon Potter.
