F Hayley Wickenheiser, the Canadian national women’s team star, has found a men’s league in which to play in Europe. She has signed with Arboga in Swedish Division 1, which is that country’s third level. Arboga was in Allsvenskan, the second tier league, until financial problems forced it down a level after last season. . . .

Former Spokane D Chris Ovington has signed with HC Fassa of Italy’s Serie A. . . .

Former Kelowna D Tomas Slovak has signed with Augsburg of Germany’s DEL. He was with Ilves in the top Finnish league last season. Also on the Augsburg roster are D Christian Chartier (Saskatoon/Prince George), D Harlan Pratt (Seattle/Red Deer/Prince Albert/Regina/Portland), F Rhett Gordon (Regina), and F Travis Brigley (Lethbridge). Former NHLer Paulin Bordeleau is the coach. . . .

The Wikner twins, Fred (Prince George) and John (Brandon), have signed with Kållered (Sweden Division 2, the fourth level). Last season, they both split time between AIK Stockholm (Allsvenskan) and Trångsund (Division 1). . . .
