Tuesday trade
The Tri-City Americans have acquired C Jason Reese, 19, from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for C Joel Broda, 18, who is from Prince Albert. Broda played in 127 games for the Americans over the last three seasons, totaling 44 points and 62 penalty minutes. He was the ninth pick in the 2004 bantam draft and have three points in Tri-City’s three games this season. Broda, 6-foot-0 and 196 pounds, leaves in style, having scored the game-winner in the Americans’ come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the Bruins in Chilliwack on Sunday. . . . Reese, from Gresham, Ore., was the seventh pick in the 2003 bantam draft by the Vancouver Giants after he had played for the bantam AAA Tri-City Jr. Americans. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Reese had 70 points in 73 games as he split last season between Vancouver and Moose Jaw. In 180 career games, he has 110 points. . . .
