More from Monday

A couple of suspensions from Friday night games . . . The Moose Jaw Warriors lost captain Riley Holzapfel for two games after he took a checking-from-behind major and game misconduct in a 3-2 loss to the host Hitmen. . . . F Curtis Kelner of the Spokane Chiefs drew a two-game sentence for a checking major and game misconduct in a 4-3 loss to the visiting Kamloops Blazers. . . .

The Brandon Wheat Kings, who meet the Blades in Saskatoon on Tuesday, will have Nathan Green playing on their terrific all-freshman line with Matt Calvert and Brayden Schenn. Green, who has missed three games with a bruised sternum, will replace Scott Glennie, who suffered a concussion in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over the visiting Regina Pats. . . . It isn’t known how long Glennie will be out of action.

After trading D Matt Strong, 17, to the Red Deer Rebels as part of a three-player deal, the Everett Silvertips recalled Jeff Regier, 16, from the BCHL’s Surrey Eagles. Regier, the 34th pick in the 2006 bantam draft, was pointless in 10 games with Surrey. . . . His presence gives Everett seven defencemen on its roster. . . . Nick Patterson of the Everett Herald reports that G David Reekie, 20, cleared WHL waivers but hasn’t yet found a place to play. Reekie and GM Doug Soetaert now are exploring the possibility of his landing with a pro team. . . .

The Prince George Cougars will be without D Jesse Dudas for all of a four-game swing into the U.S. Division. Dudas has a charleyhorse, has missed two games and, the Prince George Citizen reports, now is in Edmonton where the Columbus Blue Jackets, who own his NHL rights, are having him fitted with a pad to cover that area of the injured leg. Yes, it is the same leg that plagued Dudas last season. . . . The Cougars also are without C Evan Fuller (groin) and RW Dale Hunt (hand) while C Jan Kupec (concussion) may return for the last two games of the trip. . . . The Cougars open their road trip Tuesday against the Spokane Chiefs, then meet the Tri-City Americans twice in Kennewick, Wash., before finishing up Saturday in Spokane.
