Reekie on move?
G David Reekie could become a free agent Friday morning. Nick Patterson of the Everett Herald has reported that Reekie, 20, has been placed on waivers. Any team is free to claim him for the $1,000 waiver fee this morning, otherwise he will become a free agent. Reekie has been on the 60-day injury list with mononucleosis. He was declared fit to play about three weeks ago but had to wait until he came off the 60-day list. . . . If he clears waivers, he would be free to go to the OHL or QMJHL. . . . The Silvertips don’t have room for him as F Dan Gendur, F Brennan Sonne and D Dane Crowley are their three 20-year-old players. . . . If this is the end of Reekie’s WHL career, it’s a tough way to go. Last season, he was 20-6 with a 1.77 GAA and a .925 save percentage with Everett.
