That was the sound of the WHL cash register as it accepted more fine money on Monday.
The latest fines stemmed from a Saturday game in Regina between the Pats and Warriors.
The Warriors got touched for $2,500 for starting the post-game kerfuffle near the Pats’ bench. Regina was hit with a $500 fine for being the victim.
Moose Jaw head coach Dave Hunchak was fined $500 for incurring a game misconduct late in the third period. He actually grabbed a towel and waved the white flag, yes he did.
On top of all that, the Warriors were fined $500 because they were in violation of the league’s media policy in not making their players available to the Regina Leader-Post following the game.
As well, three Warriors were suspended — LW Frazer McLaren (three games), LW Terrance Delaronde (1) and LW Ryley Grantham (1). . . . Regina LW Josh Elder got a two-game suspension.
The score? Oh, the Pats won, 2-1.
