Deal or no deal?

Rumours have been circulating for a while now involving the future of the Red Deer Rebels. The rumour mill has had Brent Sutter on the verge of selling to a group headed by former WHL defenceman Doug Quinn, a 43-year-old native of Red Deer. . . . Some folks were of the belief that a deal had been done and was to be announced at season's end. . . . Quinn played in the WHL (1982-86) with the Nanaimo Islanders, New Westminster Bruins and Lethbridge Broncos. . . . However, it seems there is nothing to those rumours; at least, not according to Sutter. . . . The Red Deer Advocate has a rather strong denial from Sutter, who says he’s not selling.
