Peterson heads up Portland group

The cat is out of the bag in Portland and you can bet that Winter Hawks’ fans are abuzz today. It has been known for some time that a group, led by Brent Peterson, a former Winter Hawks player and coach, is wanting to purchase the struggling franchise. But Peterson refused to go public – until today. Included in the group are former Portland players Ray Ferraro, Marian Hossa and Brenden Morrow along with pro golfer Peter Jacobsen, who is immensely popular in the Portland area. . . .
