More from Wednesday . . .

The Saskatoon Blades ending up shifting the location of their training camp at the last moment. The Blades normally train in Martensville, but ongoing building renovations prevented their return. So, they shifted to Dalmenny. But hot weather caused ice problems there, and now the Blades’ training camp home is in Aberdeen, about 30km northeast of the city.

With Benoit Groulx having signed with the AHL’s Rochester Americans, Hockey Canada will be looking for a head coach for the national junior team. The assistant coaches are Willie Desdjardins of the Medicine Hat Tigers and Dave Cameron of the OHL’s Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors. . . . Desjardins told the Medicine Hat News on Wednesday night that he hasn’t heard a thing.
