The New York Islanders have returned D Travis Hamonic to the Moose Jaw Warriors. He was a second-round pick in the 2008 NHL draft. . . . The Phoenix Coyotes have returned D Michael Stone to the Calgary Hitmen. . . . D Benn Olson, who played out his WHL eligibility with the Seattle Thunderbirds last season, has been assigned to the AHL’s Albany River Rats by the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes.
