The Edmonton Oil Kings, obviously concerned about inconsistent goaltending, especially from veteran Dalyn Flette, have acquired Torrie Jung, 19, from the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The Oil Kings gave up a 2010 sixth-round bantam draft pick for Jung, who is in his third WHL season.
Jung, a seventh-round pick by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2007 bantam draft, had been at home in Nanaimo, B.C., since the season's first week awaiting a move. He got squeezed out in Kelowna after the Rockets acquired G Kris Lazaruk, 20, from the Kootenay Ice.
The Rockets dealt Jung to the Hurricanes on Thursday for a conditional 2010 sixth-round draft pick.
Last season, Jung went 13-12-0-5 with a 2.86 GAA for the Rockets.
The Oil Kings have allowed a league-high 63 goals.
