More from Wednesday. . . .

There will be an interesting matchup tonight in Saskatoon where Portland Winter Hawks G Keith Hamilton apparently is scheduled to make his first WHL start. Hamilton, a 16-year-old from Kelowna, was the 39th pick in the 2007 bantam draft. The Blades have won their last eight games; the Winter Hawks have lost nine in a row. . . . More buzz from Portland: With the sale of the Winter Hawks expected to be completed next week, a source tells me that GM Ken Hodge cleaned out his office earlier this week and that Mike Johnston, the former Vancouver Canucks/Los Angeles Kings assistant coach, is in Portland preparing to take over as the Winter Hawks’ GM/head coach. As well, former NHLer Travis Green, who will be an assistant coach under Johnston, also has arrived in Portland. Bill Gallacher, the Calgary-based businessman who is purchasing the franchise, is due in Portland today or Thursday.

G Travis Yonkman, 20, is back practising with the Swift Current Broncos as he is almost recovered from a shoulder injury. However, the Broncos remain without D Ryan Molle and F Cody Eakin, both of whom have concussions, and F Matt Tassone (shoulder). Meanwhile, D Jesse Dudas (knee) is about three weeks away from returning. Once he comes back, the Broncos will have four 20-year-olds – Yonkman, RW Keegan Dansereau and D Spencer McAvoy are the others – and a decision will have to be made. . . . F Brad Hoban, who suffered a broken ankle over the summer, is back on the ice with the Broncos.
