Former Prince George head coach Drew Schoneck wasn’t in the broadcast booth Tuesday when the Cougars visited the Tri-City Americans in Kennewick, Wash., on Tuesday night. Schoneck, who lives in the Tri-Cities, worked a game alongside Americans play-by-play man Craig West on Feb. 8 and there was some buzz that Schoneck might be back on the microphone Tuesday. Instead, he now is expected to be there when the Cougars next visit on March 15, which is the last day of the regular season. . . . Medicine Hat Tigers D Bo Montgomery is questionable for a Wednesday game with the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings. He jammed a finger in a 5-3 victory over the visiting Kamloops Blazers on Saturday. . . . The Everett Silvertips have added F Campbell Elynuik, 16, to their roster, at least for a while, now that his midget AAA team, the Calgary Royals, has had its season end. He was a seventh-round pick in the 2007 bantam draft. And, yes, he is the son of former NHLer Pat Elynuik, who was a sniper — oh, could he shoot the puck! — with the Prince Albert Raiders (1982-87). Campbell is expected to play Wednesday against the visiting Portland Winter Hawks.
