The Portland Winter Hawks, who had the second-poorest record in the regular season, will pick first in the April 30 bantam draft. They won that right Wednesday when the WHL held the draft lottery in its Calgary office. The Moose Jaw Warriors, who had the poorest record in the league, will select second. . . . The same thing happened in 2008 when the Winter Hawks had the worst record but the first pick landed in the lap of the Red Deer Rebels. . . . The Chilliwack Bruins will pick third on April 30, followed by the Regina Pats and Prince Albert Raiders.
