An interesting press release out of Chilliwack on Sunday:
The Chiefs Development Group, owners and operators of Prospera Centre announced today that the lease to operate both the Prospera Centre Concessions and the Metropolitan Grill Restaurant has been terminated effective immediately.
"We would like to thank the Mosychuk family for their efforts these past five years and wish them all the best in their future endeavours," stated CDG owners Jim Bond and Moray Keith. "This was a difficult decision that was based on the concerns that were voiced by the various users of Prospera Centre, including Chilliwack Bruins fans and suite holders."
The search for a top level professional concession operator will commence immediately.

JUST NOTES: There is word that the Seattle Thunderbirds are to have company in their new home, the ShoWare Center in Kent, Wash. It seems the facility also will be home to the Seattle Mist, the city’s entry in the Lingerie Football League. . . . Drew Schoneck, who was fired as head coach of the Prince George Cougars on Dec. 1, is scheduled to be alongside radio play-by-play voice Craig West during today’s broadcast from the Toyota Centre in Kennewick, Wash. West calls the play of Tri-City Americans’ games and frequently flies solo. What makes this one a little more interesting is that the Americans are to play Schoneck’s former team, the Cougars. Game time in Kennewick is 5:05 p.m. If you are interested in listening, go to the Americans’ website and follow the link from there.
