Bruins fire Hiller

It was back in late January when Darryl Porter, one of the Chilliwack Bruins' owners, announced that general manager Darrell May had been pushed out the door.
At the time, people were wondering about the future of head coach Jim Hiller.
“I believe we have an exceptional head coach who’s had to overcome a lot of obstacles,” Porter told Eric J. Welsh of the Chilliwack Progress at the time. “What I’m most proud of is this team is still working its tail off, and I believe this is still a playoff team and I have full confidence in Jim and his staff and he will be our head coach next year.”

Well, so much for that "exceptional head coach" because Hiller was fired on Monday.
The Bruins finished 19-46-2-5 and didn't make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
Of course, they made the playoffs in each of their first two seasons of existence, only to run up against the Vancouver Giants in the first round each time. The Bruins went out in five games one year and four the next.
