Thursday . . .

Former WHLer Pat Conacher was one of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ pro scouts this season, but he has been told he won’t be offered a new contract. The Leafs, however, are looking for a new director of player personnel, who could offer Conacher a deal. . . . When the Leafs hired Francois Allaire as goaltender coach earlier this week, he replaced former Kamloops Blazers G Corey Hirsch. He will stay with the Leafs as a scout and also will do some player development work. . . . D Mike Berube, who played out his WHL eligibility this season with the Vancouver Giants, has signed with the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack. He had 24 points and 55 penalty minutes in 56 games with the Giants. All told, he spent five seasons in the WHL, also playing in Pringe George and Red Deer. . . .

The remainder of the staff, including former Prince Albert Raiders GM/head coach Rick Wilson, is being evaluated. . . .
