THE MacBETH REPORT: F Moises Gutierrez (Kamloops, Everett, 2002-07) has signed a contract for the rest of this season with Arboga (Sweden Division 1). He had no points in one game with Alaska (ECHL) and one goal and one assist in 13 games with Wheeling (ECHL) this season. . . .
F Jason Deleurme (Tacoma/Kelowna, 1993-98) has signed a contract for the rest of this season with Visby/Roma (Sweden Division 1). He had three goals and two assists in four games with Colorado (CHL) and two goals and seven assists in 18 games with Wichita (CHL) this season. . . .
F Aki Seitsonen (Prince Albert, 2003-06) has been assigned on loan from HPK Hämeenlinna (Finland SM-Liiga) to LeKi Lempäälä (Finland Mestis). This is his second loan assignment to LeKi; this time, the loan is for two games. Seitsonen is pointless in eight games with HPK and has one goal and four assists in seven games with LeKi this season.

Former NHL G Rick Wamsley has taken over as the interim head coach of the AHL’s Peoria Rivermen. He replaces Davis Payne, who is the interim head coach of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, Peoria’s parent club, following the firing of Andy Murray.

The AHL’s Syracuse Crunch has signed C Jared Aulin (Kamloops, 1998-2002) to a contract. Aulin, 27, has 16 points in 31 games with the Crunch this season. He has twice been on pro tryout contracts. In 224 career AHL games with the Crunch, Manchester, Portland, Hershey and Springfield, Aulin has 145 points and 115 penalty minutes.

In Prince George, D Dallas Jackson drew four assists as the Cougars dumped the Kamloops Blazers, 6-4. . . . F Alex Rodgers, who began his career with Kamloops, had two goals and an assist for the Cougars (9-28-1-1), while F Spencer Asuchak, who is from Kamloops, had a goal and two helpers. . . . Prince George F Brock Hirsche broke a 2-2 with two goals, at 12:38 of the first period and 1:47 of the second, and the Cougars never trailed after that. . . . F Dalibor Bortnak had three assists for Kamloops. . . . The Blazers, the WHL’s most-penalized team, took just one minor penalty. . . . Kamloops was 2-for-6 on the PP; the Cougars were 0-for-1. . . . Dailey, who had two goals -- his third and fourth -- and an assist in regulation time, was the first shooter in the seventh round of the circus. . . . The Silvertips (20-16-2-1) ended a three-game losing skid. . . . Dailey, who had gone 26 games without a goal, scored twice in the game’s first four minutes. With the Rebels shooting first, Persson was the third of its shooters and the only one to score. . . . The Rebels (21-15-0-3) have won four of their last five. . . . The Oil Kings (10-21-4-6) have lost four in a row and 10 straight on the road. . . . Red Deer G Darcy Kuemper stopped 29 shots, while Edmonton’s Cam Lanigan blocked 26. . . . In Vancouver, D Jared Spurgeon broke a 1-1 tie with a PP goal at 16:21 of the second period to give the Spokane Chiefs a 2-1 victory over the Giants. . . . Spokane F Kyle Beach and Vancouver captain Lance Bouma duked it out 11 seconds into this one. . . . Vancouver F Brendan Gallagher gave his side a 1-0 lead on the PP at 6:14 of the first period. . . . Gallagher has 24 goals. . . . Spokane F Mitch Wahl tied it at 9:55 of the first. . . . Wahl had the lone assist on Spurgeon third goal this season. . . . The Chiefs (22-13-3-0) snapped a five-game losing skid. . . . The Giants are 24-14-1-2. . . . Spokane G Michael Tadjdeh stopped 35 shots. . . . Vancouver’s Jamie Tucker stopped 26. . . . The Giants took 64 of 120 penalty minutes, much of which was coincidental. . . . The Chiefs were 1-for-6 on the PP; the Giants were 1-for-4. . . . Attendance was 8,654.

In Kelowna, the Rockets scored two first-period PP goals and went on to beat the Chilliwack Bruins, 2-1. . . . F Brett Bulmer’s eighth of the season, at 10:41, and F Codey; (Judge) Ito’s first, at 19:07, staked the home side to a 2-0 lead. . . . F Alexander Wiklund had the Bruins’ lone goal, at 11:10 of the second. . . . Kelowna G Adam Brown made 31 saves, while the Bruins’ Lucas Gore stopped 16 shots. . . . The Rockets (19-20-2-0) had lost five in a row. . . . The Bruins (18-18-1-5) had won three straight. . . . Attendance was 6,114. . . . The Rockets dressed 17 skaters, including D Colton Heffley and F Tyrell Goulbourne, both of whom were called up last week, and D Damon Severson, who was reassigned and quickly brought back. . . . All told, Kelowna was without nine regulars, including D Curt Gogol, who was a healthy scratch. Team officials would say only that he was scratched due to an internal matter with which the team was dealing. He also missed Thursday’s 4-3 loss in Chilliwack and isn’t expected to play Sunday in Vancouver. . . . Kelowna F Spencer Main (concussion) was added to the injury list after being injured Thursday. Also missing were D Collin Bowman (ankle), D Mitchell Chapman (ribs), LW Evan Bloodoff (knee), F Geordie Wudrick (shoulder), LW Lucas Bloodoff (knee) and F Kyle St. Denis (concussion). F Brandon McMillan is playing for Canada at the World Junior Championship.
