Coaching change in Edmonton

The Edmonton Oil Kings announced Tuesday that head coach Steve Pleau and assistant coach Rocky Thompson won't be back next season.
Pleau, who had one season left on an extension agreed to on June 9, and Thompson had been with the team since it came into the league for 2007-08. The Oil Kings went 67-116-12-21 under them, making the playoffs in 2008-09 but missing out the other two seasons.
Edmonton general manager Bob Green is in Belarus at the IIHF World U-18 championship. He will begin searching for a coaching staff upon his return.
