Top pick signs

Four days after the WHL’s 2010 bantam draft, the Prince George Cougars have announced the signing of the No. 1 overall selection.
F Alex Forsberg, who played as a 15-year-old with the Saskatchewan midget AAA league’s Beardy’s Blackhawks, signed on Monday. He finished tied for third in the league’s scoring race, with 72 points in 44 games.
Forsberg is from Waldehim, Sask. His brother, Jesse, was the 11th overall pick in the 2008 draft and just completed his freshman season with the Cougars.
