Ferster on the move to . . .

Rylan Ferster, who resigned earlier in the week as the general manager and head coach of the BCHL’s Salmon Arm SilverBacks, is the new GM and head coach of the junior B Revelstoke Grizzlies of the Kootenay International league. The Grizzlies made the announcement Friday morning. . . . Ferster, a veteran coach at the junior A level, replaces Troy Mick, one of the Grizzlies’ owners, who left last month to join the Kelowna-based Pursuit of Excellence academy as director of hockey operations. . . . Under Mick, the Grizzlies won the KIJHL, as well as the B.C. and Western Canadian junior B championships.
