I meant to post a link to this piece the other night, but it slipped through the cracks, and it deserves a lot better than that. . . . Joe O’Connor of the National Post talks with Kelly Hrudey and his daughter, Kaitlin, about dealing with anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder. . . . This should be compulsory reading. Period.
Bill Pennington of The New York Times has an interesting piece right here on young athletes and concussions. There is a lot of interesting anecdotal information here.
Were you disappointed to hear that Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole are leaving TSN for Fox Sports 1? Wondering how it all happened? Curious as to whether Producer Tim is going, too? . . . Richard Deitsch of has the story right here.

OHLIn the OHL, F Seth Griffith scored twice and added an assist as the host London Knights dumped the Barrie Colts 4-1 on Sunday night. . . . Barrie F Anthony Camara drew a charging major and game misconduct for a hit on London F Max Domi at 7:57 of the third period. . . . Attendance was 8,985. . . . The series shifts to Barrie for Games 3 and 4 on Monday and Wednesday.

Derek Laxdal, the head coach of the Edmonton Oil Kings, expects two days off to do his club a world of good. Derek Van Diest of the Edmonton Sun has that story right here.

In the spring of the 1979, the Portland Winterhawks were on the verge of going under. In fact, had they not ended up in the WHL final, the end very well may have arrived. Columnist Terry Jones of the Edmonton Sun has more right here. It’s great to see Ken Hodge getting some ink during the WHL final.
