Friday . . . really early (1:55 a.m.)

The Sports Curmudgeon, a long-time friend, posted this on his blog and it’s worth a read:
“Bill Conlin has been a great - - and I do mean great - - sportswriter and columnist for the Philadelphia Bulletin and the Philadelphia Daily News for at least 40 years. The newspaper industry is - to say the very least - in turmoil these days. Here is an outstanding column by Conlin on the need for newspapers in our society.
