THURSDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS
In Edmonton, the Oil Kings posted a 4-1 victory over the Everett Silvertips, who began an Eastern Conference road trip by having a three-game winning streak come to an end. . . . This was the night's lone game. . . . The Oil Kings (7-6-1-2) had lost three of their last four. . . . Everett (8-7-0-0) had won eight of its last 10. . . . Brent Raedeke gave Edmonton a 1-0 first-period lead, only to have Kyle Beach tie it for Everett early in the second period with one of those lacrosse-style goals. Beach has scored with that move twice this season and now has 10 goals. . . . Robin Figren got the game-winner in the final minute of the second period. . . . C Peter Mueller, who played last season for Everett, could play his 10th game of the NHL season for the Phoenix Coyotes on Friday night. Once a player dresses for his 10th game, the season counts as a complete one when looking at free agency.
