Bruton suspended

C Chris Bruton of the Spokane Chiefs has been suspended by the WHL and won't play tonight in Seattle against the Thunderbirds. The suspension's length hasn't been determined, which means vice-president Richard Doerksen continues his investigation into the incident in which Bruton popped Everett F Kyle Beach with a quick punch following the conclusion of a game Wednesday in Everett. The Chiefs play in Everett on Saturday and in Portland on Monday. . . . Bet on Bruton getting a two-game suspension, meaning he'll return Monday.
