Hitmen, Warriors do business

Calgary has dealt C Ian Duval, 20, to the Moose Jaw Warriors as the Hitmen begin the work of getting down to three 20-year-olds. Duval, a Winnipegger in his fifth WHL season, was dealt for F Derek Grant, 18, who is playing for the BCHL’s Langley Chiefs. The Hitmen also received a conditional third-round pick in the 2010 bantam draft. . . . Grant, a native of Abbotsford, B.C., has 21 points in nine games with the Chiefs after totaling 63 points in 57 games last season. He has committed to Michigan State for 2009-10. . . . Duval, who had 50 points in 71 games last season, has yet to play this season because of mononucleosis. . . . The move leaves Calgary with four 20-year-olds – C Kyle Bortis, C Carson McMillan, D Keith Seabrook and G Dan Spence. Teams must be down to three by Thursday. . . . The Warriors, who traded two 20-year-olds – C Evan Fuller and D Brett Ward – to Chilliwack last week, have two 20s – Duval and LW Ryley Grantham.
