THE MacBETH REPORT: F Kirby Law (Saskatoon/Lethbridge/Brandon), released earlier this season by Nizhnekamsk (Russia KHL), signed with Fribourg-Gottéron (Swiss NL A) for the rest of this season. . . . F Stacy Roest (Medicine Hat) signed a two-year contract extension with Rapperswil-Jona (Swiss NL A). Roest is in his sixth season with Rapperswil and has seven goals and 20 assists in 21 games this season.

Deutschland Cup in Mannheim and Frankfurt, Germany: 1. Canada, 2. Switzerland, 3. Germany, 4. Slovakia. . . . Scott King (Kelowna) had one goal and two assists in three games; Chris Herperger (Swift Current/Seattle) had one goal and one assist in three games; Adam Courchaine (Medicine Hat/Vancouver) had one assist in three games; Duncan Milroy (Swift Current/Kootenay) had one assist in three games; Chris Armstrong (Moose Jaw) had no points in three games; and, Richie Regehr (Kelowna/Portland) had a goal and three assists in three games for Canada. . . . Richard Mueller (Brandon/Saskatoon/Calgary) had two goals in two games; Chris Schmidt (Seattle) had one assist in three games; and, Sven Butenschoen (Brandon) had no points in three games for Germany. . . .
