The Portland Winter Hawks are about to take on a look that will be familiar to long-time fans. How about jersey No. 22 with Mick on the back. Yes, F Sawyer Mick, 17, is joining the Winter Hawks for a look-see. Mick, 17, has 20 points, including 12 goals, in 18 games with the junior B Chase, B.C., Chiefs, who are coached by former WHL defenceman Tyler Boldt. Mick, from Vernon, B.C., goes about 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds. . . . And, yes, he is the younger brother of former Winter Hawks star Troy Mick, who scored a goal or two while wearing No. 22 with Portland. . . . The rumour mill also has the Winter Hawks taking a look at F Jonathan Milhouse, a 19-year-old who had 47 points in 52 games with the BCHL’s Victoria Grizzlies last season. From Yorba Linda, Calif., he has 22 points, eight of them goals, in 24 games with Victoria this season. Milhouse also is credited with having played 34 games over two seasons (2005-07) with the Everett Silvertips. He has yet to record a WHL point.
