Listen in on Habscheid news conference

Randy Merkley, the play-by-play voice of the Chilliwack Bruins, wants you to know that the news conference being held by the Bruins on Wednesday evening will be carried live on radio. If you want to give it a listen, you will be able to find it all right here.
The Bruins are poised to announce the signing of Marc Habscheid as GM and head coach.
The fun starts at 6:30 p.m.

D Stefan Gonzales, a sixth-round selection by the Kamloops Blazers in the 2007 bantam draft, has signed with the BCHL’s Burnaby Express. He was signed after attending a prospects’ camp. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Gonzales played for the B.C. major midget league’s Valley West Hawks for whom he had 20 points and 46 penalty minutes. He no longer is on the Blazers’ list. . . . F Colin Lidster, 19, who was selected by the Blazers in the fifth round of the 2004 bantam draft, has been traded by the BCHL’s Salmon Arm SilverBacks to the Trail Smoke Eaters. Lidster, 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, is the son of former NHLer Doug Lidster, who now is an assistant coach with the Canadian national women’s team. Colin, who is on the Blazers’ college list, has committed to attend Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., and play for the Bobcats in 2010-11.
