The Calgary Flames have returned F Lance Bouma to the Vancouver Giants and F Mitch Wahl to the Spokane Chiefs, who also are getting F Levko Koper back from the Atlanta Thrashsers. . . . The Vancouver Canucks have returned D Nolan Toigo to Vancouver, F Kellan Tochkin to the Everett Silvertips, F Prab Rai to the Seattle Thunderbirds and G Morgan Clark to the Swift Current Broncos.

An emailer lets us know that F Garet Hunt (Vancouver, 2004-08) has signed with the Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers.

The Kamloops Blazers reassigned F Richard Vanderhoek, 18, to the BCHL’s Surrey Eagles. Vanderhoek, a sixth-round pick in the 2006 bantam draft, had one goal in six exhibition games. He missed most of last season with a knee injury. . . . As well, the Blazers got F Jimmy Bubnick back from the NHL’s Atlanta Thrashers. Bubnick, taken by the Thrashers in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL draft, is expected to be in the lineup Friday when the Blazers open against the Bruins in Chilliwack. . . . F Tyler Shattock, a fourth-round pick in June, remains with the St. Louis Blues. . . . The Blazers are carrying 25 players, including two injured players – F Dalibor Bortnak (spleen) and F Colin Smith (broken arm) – who won’t play until at least mid-October.

The Prince George Cougars have added another homebrew to their roster. D Garrett Thiessen, 20, who was released earlier by the Edmonton Oil Kings, has returned to Prince George. He becomes the fourth 20-year-old on their roster, joining F Tyler Halliday, D Dallas Jackson and F Alex Rodgers. Jackson, however, is sidelined with a shoulder injury. . . . Thiessen started his career with the Blazers but moved on to the Cougars, who traded him to the Prince Albert Riaders last fall. This summer, he was claimed off waivers by the Oil Kings. . . . Thiessen is another player on the Cougars’ roster who has ties to head coach Dean Clark. Thiessen was a sixth-round pick by Kamloops in the 2004 bantam draft and played for Clark when he coached the Blazers. Others with the Cougars who have ties to Clark and Kamloops include Rodgers, G James Priestner, D Daniel Medland-Marchen and D Kurt Torbohm. . . . The Cougars also have four Prince George products on their roster now – Thiessen and F Brett Connolly, along with freshman defencemen Dan Gibb and Tyler Miller.
