Some teams doing some early Monday roster shuffling . . .
The Prince Albert Raiders have dealt G Steven Stanford, 19, to the Saskatoon Blades, along with a 2011 sixth-round bantam draft pick, for D Brendon Wall, 19, D Tyler Yaworski, 18, and a 2011 fourth-round bantam draft pick.
Stanford played in 45 games with the Raiders last season, going 15-24-3-1 with a 3.63 GAA and a .895 save percentage. This season, he has been slowed after taking a shot off the neck area and spending some time in hospital. He is 0-2, 4.82, .865 in two games.
Wall has two points in five games, while Yaworski was pointless in one game before being reassigned late last month.
The Blades, it would appear, are hoping that Stanford and Adam Morrison, 18, who backed up Braden Holtby last season, will combine to form a solid one-two punch and also develop a competition that drives each to play better. Freshman Chris Sharkey, 17, also is on the Saskatoon roster.
Meanwhile, the Raiders picked up G Dalyn Flette, 19, from the Brandon Wheat Kings for a conditional 2011 bantam draft pick. If Flette is on Prince Albert’s roster on Dec. 1, Brandon will get a fifth-round pick, otherwise it’s a seventh-round selection.
Flette, who has played previously with the Kamloops Blazers and Edmonton Oil Kings, was headed to the Prince George Cougars for training camp. However, the Cougars obtained G James Priestner from Brandon so Flette changed direction and went to Brandon. He had yet to get into a regular-season game with Brandon.
Brandon still is carrying 29 players, including goaltenders Andrew Hayes, 19, who has four shutouts in his last five starts, and Ty Rimmer, 17.
In Prince Albert, Flette will compete for playing time with Garrett Zemlak, 20, and freshman Jake Edwards, 17.

Prince Albert also released D Patrick Kozyra as it got down to the league maximum of three 20-year-olds. The Raiders will go with Zemlak, F Dustin Cameron and F Craig McCallum as it’s 20-year-old players.
