The Edmonton Oil Kings will be without highly touted D Mark Pysyk for the remainder of the season. Pysyk has a broken bone in his right foot and it will cost him the regular-season’s last 13 games. He was injured Jan. 31 when he blocked a shot in a 5-4 overtime victory over the visiting Prince Albert Raiders. He practised and played in five games before X-rays found the break. He finishes with 24 points in 48 games.

The Brandon Wheat Kings will be without F Scott Glennie when they meet the Tigers in Medicine Hat on Sunday. He has been hit with a one-game suspension for an elbowing major he incurred Friday during a 3-0 victory over the Broncos in Swift Current.
