The Calgary line of Jimmy Bubnick between Kris Foucault and Tyler Shattock has combined for 10 points and each is plus-4. . . . Foucault has two goals and two assists, Bubnick has a goal and three helpers, and Shattock has one of each. . . . The record for points in one Memorial Cup game is six, last accomplished by Mike Mathers of the Kamloops Blazers on May 16, 1992. It was first done by Joe Contini of the Hamilton Fincups on May 12, 1976, and later equalled by Guy Rouleau of the Hull Olympiques on May 16, 1985. . . . Unfortunately, Mathers was found dead in his bed at home in Edmonton on June 1, 2008. . . . The goaltenders still are Martin Jones and Jacob DeSerres. I’m thinking Andrew Hayes has played his last game as a Wheat Kings goaltender. He got yanked in Game 1, a 9-3 loss to the Windsor Spitfires on Friday. . . . There are some red seatback showing.
