Change in P.A.
The Prince Albert Raiders have made a change in their coaching staff, replacing Kris Knoblauch with Craig Bedard. Earlier, the Raiders hired former Calgary Hitmen assistant Bruno Campese as head coach, replacing Peter Anholt, whose contract wasn't renewed. Campese had been GM and head coach of the BCHL's Penticton Vees for the past three seasons. And during those three seasons Bedard, who taught school in Osoyoos, B.C., since 1992, was his assistant coach. Bedard has ample coaching experience and was the head coach of Team B.C. at the 2007 Canada Winter Games. . . . Knoblauch, 28, departs having worked for the Raiders for one season. He is a former WHL forward who made stops with the Red Deer Rebels, Edmonton Ice, Kootenay Ice and Lethbridge Hurricanes before playing five years with the U of Alberta Golden Bears.
