Early Monday . . .

THE MacBETH REPORT: F Rhett Gordon (Regina) signed a one-year contract extension with Augsburg (Germany DEL). In his second season with Augsburg, Gordon has 12 goals and 33 assists in 48 games.

JUST NOTES: C Colin Long of the Kelowna Rockets lost a goal over the weekend, but he still is the Boston Pizza player of the week in the WHL. Long had a goal and six assists as the Rockets went 3-0-0-0. . . . Long was given credit for a goal in a 3-2 victory over the visiting Vancouver Giants on Saturday, but it was later given to LW Jamie Benn. . . . The WHL’s nominee as the CHL’s ADT goaltender of the week is Andrew Hayes of the Brandon Wheat Kings. He was 3-0-0-1 last week, with a 1.37 GAA and a .952 save percentage. . . . The Wheat Kings got some good news Monday with word that RW Scott Glennie, 17, has medical clearance to rejoin the team this week. Glennie hasn’t played since breaking his left elbow on Jan. 31 in Calgary. When Glennie was injured, he was fifth in the WHL scoring derby, with 66 points in 52 games. In two seasons, he has 125 points in 112 games. . . . The Prince Albert Raiders have added C Mark McNeill to their roster for the remainder of the season, however long that may be. McNeill, the fifth overall pick in the 2008 bantam draft, had 39 points in 33 games with the Edmonton SSAC Boston Pizza Athletics, whose season ended over the weekend.
